Pilates can include the use of…

Pumpkin Spice Latte time - with skim milk and no whip of course!

I don’t know about you but I can feel fall a-coming (yes I know it’s still technically summer!) Fall is my absolute favorite season for many reasons: the beautiful colors, the smells of burning wood, apple picking, and corn mazes. The fall also opens up more opportunities for staying in shape:

With the start of a new season comes new classes at the gym: Catwalk Confidence, Pilates Together, and Booty Slide just to name a few. Catwalk Confidence is a new class being offered at select New York Sports Clubs that will help attendees re-gain posture, strength, balance, and the confidence to “strut comfortably.” Pilates Together is a Pilates class for new mommies – instead of resistance bands their very own babies are used. Sounds adorable! Crunch is adding Booty Slide – created by trainer Rebecca Kordecki – which combines Pilates and slide training. Some refer to it as “Lotte Berk meets Radu.”

The Season of Marathons is upon us – and I know you all have been training. Big or small marathons, 5ks, and walks for a cause are all great ways to bond and get in shape – and raise money for a good cause at the same time. What races are you participating in?

The most obvious change into fall is the cooler weather! You can now run in the evening without breaking into a full out sweat. Bike rides are now more beautiful because of the changing scenery. So get out there and enjoy it! Go take a hike at a local park or national forest.

Acacia is pretty busy this fall too. We’re releasing some great new programs for fitness season! Titles include Shiva Rea: Daily Energy Flow, Hemalayaa: Bollywood Dance Blast, Exhale: Core Fusion Pure Arms and Abs and Tai Chi for Beginners. Keep your eyes peeled…

And just because…
